Summary
Zoey Redbird is a seemingly normal teenager, until she is marked and sent to the House of Night. By becoming a fledgling, she loses contact with a lot of her family and friends. At the House of Night, Zoey makes many new and interesting friendships that will get her through her various hardships. Zoey soon finds that she is different from the other fledglings. Zoey is the first fledgling in history to receive an affinity for all five elements. This is the story of Zoey's experience at the House of Night during a time of change. Things are different this year at the House of Night because humans are turning up dead all over Oklahoma. As more and more information surfaces, Zoey struggles with what information to keep to herself and what secrets she should trouble others with. Zoey can never tell who can be trusted and learns that there may not be a difference between her friends and her enemies. Among all of this, Zoey has to help her undead friend, Stevie Rae, grasp her humanity. This also has to be kept a secret, or Stevie Rae will be killed. Zoey has to find a way to save her before it is too late. As if Zoey does not have enough to worry about, she has to balance relationships with three boyfriends that could make or break her reputation. Find out if Zoey will defeat evil, save Stevie Rae, keep her friends, and/or choose a boyfriend in "Chosen" by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast. |
